About the Faculty:

Lisa Leary

Lisa Leary, MS is an educator and strategist with a passion for helping individuals achieve greater success and productivity. Previous to her work in quality improvement, she was a Veterinary Technician at Tufts Vet School. Lisa holds a Masters Degree in Evaluative Clinical Science from Dartmouth College and is Six Sigma Certified. She brings over 15 years of experience in process improvement and practice transformation through her work in healthcare, and humane organizations.

Valerie Jackson, is a Senior Program Manager of Workforce Development and Quality Improvement. She has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare delivery and manufacturing, specializing in team-based care, performance improvement coaching, and group training and facilitation. Valerie is an energetic and effective leader who brings heart, humor, and compassion to her work in leading meaningful change.

Animal humane professionals are challenged daily to  confidently lead teams, implement innovative ideas, and build organizational resiliency. Leadership skills are a critical component to improving retention and sustaining positive change.
